Global Education Trends Research Section

The Global Education Trends Research Section is a structural unit of the Higher Education Institute, which is involved into studying and generalising the international trends in the field of the higher education, monitors contemporary education systems development models, and analyses strategies pursued by research universities.

The objective of the Section is the comprehensive research into the international competitiveness of educational systems, factors and conditions of the formation of competitive higher education establishments, and the development of proposals on the improvement of KNEU's competitive status.

Section's Research Areas:

  • the analysis of contemporary international trends of the higher education development and its role in the enhancement of the competitiveness of countries under conditions of the development of the knowledge-based economy;
  • the monitoring of development trends of the world-class universities;
  • the comparative analysis of strategies pursued by research universities in various countries of the world;
  • the diagnostics of key success factors of world-class universities (the Harvard Strategy);
  • the evaluation of the nature, scale and specific features of the educational policies pursued by the highly developed states of the world;
  • the research into novel educational technologies;
  • case method models of the 21st century;
  • the generalisation of the international experience of the commercialisation of educational and training technologies;
